Vodafone UK Introduces Data Rollover Service For Pay Monthly Customers

Tue, 13th Dec 2016 11:57

LONDON (Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC Tuesday said its UK arm will be changing its service for pay-as-you-go customers, allowing them to carry over unused data from one month to the next.

This will be offered until customer's using Vodafone's Data Rollover service on its 'Big Value Bundles' for pay-as-you-go customers.

The moves comes just two weeks after Sky PLC detailed the terms of its mobile service launch in the UK, which touted the ability to roll-over any unused data, to be stored for use for up to three years.

Sky's service will see a full market launch in the new year.

Vodafone UK's Data Rollover service will work by rolling over any data that is unused under the Big Value Bundle within a 30-day-period into the next 30-day-period, with this rollover data then expiring at the end of the second 30-day-period.

"We are delighted to be offering yet another industry first to our customers by introducing Data Rollover. Through listening to our customers, we're determined to simplify our products and offer even better value for money, so that they can enjoy the UK's winning network wherever they are," said Vodafone UK's Commercial Director Glafkos Persianis in a statement.

Shares in Vodafone were up 0.5% at 198.93 pence Tuesday morning.
