Vinci wins $1.14 billion HS2 contract
May 13 (Reuters) - Vinci said its Taylor Woodrow unit, in a 50-50 joint venture with Aureos Rail Ltd, has won an 856 million pound ($1.16 billion) contract from High Speed 2 Ltd to build a train maintenance depot and rail network control centre in Birmingham for Britain's future HS2 line.
The project is expected to create about 1,000 long-term jobs and nearly 500 construction roles.
