UK government awards $379 mln contract for small defence boat maintenance

LONDON, March ​25 (Reuters) - ⁠Britain ​awarded a ​contract worth ‌283.5 ⁠million pounds ($379 million) ⁠to ​companies including Babcock and Serco ​to ‌maintain and support ​3,000 smaller vessels ‌used by the Royal ‌Navy, the army and ​others, a government statement ‌on Wednesday said.
