Tue, 27th Aug 2024 10:16

(Alliance News) - Shearwater Group PLC on Tuesday named Gfinity PLC's Jonathan Hall as its new chief financial officer.

Hall will pick up the role at the London-headquartered cybersecurity services provider on Wednesday, and join its board at the end of September.

Most recently, Hall was a finance director of Gfinity, where he spent over nine years and led the process of the company's admission to AIM. Gfinity is a London-based e-sports and gaming services company.

Outgoing Interim CFO Adam Hurst, will remain with Shearwater for a short transition period. Hurst picked up the role in October last year.

Chair David Williams commented: "Following a thorough search process, we are delighted that Jonathan will be joining the business and the board. He brings a wealth of experience to the group and I have every confidence that he will make a substantial contribution as we seek to improve shareholder returns."

Shares in Shearwater were down 2.6% to 38.00 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
