(Sharecast News) - Remote Monitored Systems on Thursday announced that its 58% owned investee GyroMetric Systems has developed and launched its Absolute Dynamic Shaft Alignment (ADSA) system.
The system enables any builder or other operator of large rotating equipment to install GyroMetric's equipment and use it to align shafts initially, with the technology then left to monitor conditions and correct shaft placement when misalignment occurs.
The AIM traded company said ADSA was the world's first system capable of performing initial absolute alignment as well as continuous dynamic monitoring of relative alignment of rotating machinery.
Executive director, Trevor Brown, said "GyroMetric's new ADSA system has the potential to transform the alignment and monitoring of rotating machinery, resulting in significant reductions in operating costs and improved failure prevention in many industrial applications.
"This is an exciting development, building on the success of GyroMetric's existing Incremental Motion Encoder technology."
Remote Monitored Systems shares were down 10.28% at 0.48p at 1550 BST.
