Proton Motor Power Gains First Order For New Product PM Frames

Mon, 16th Nov 2020 15:02

(Alliance News) - Fuel cells company Proton Motor Power Systems PLC has received an order for its new product PM Frame, available in power level intervals of 21, 28, 36 and 43 kilowatts which will work as an uninterruptible power supply unit.

The company will install PM Frame as a UPS system within road tunnels, equipment necessary in the event of an accident or grid failure to provide lighting, air ventilation and safety equipment for a temporary period.

This initial order is the first of what potentially could be a further 300 units from the unnamed customer.

"This is excellent news for Proton illustrating demand for hydrogen fuel cells to provide stand by clean hydrogen driven energy instead of diesel within the road infrastructure segment," said Chief Executive Officer Faiz Nahab.

Shares in Proton Motor Power Systems PLC were 4.5% at 55.40 pence on Monday in London.
