LONDON (Alliance News) - Barclays PLC Chairman John McFarlane has told staff that some "tough calls" will have to be made in the coming weeks in his effort to boost the bank's returns, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.
The report cited a person with knowledge of the contents of a memo sent to staff by McFarlane.
Shares in Barclays were up 2.0% at 258.15 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
