Wed, 05th Feb 2020 15:23

(Alliance News) - Plant Health Care PLC on Wednesday said it has secured regulatory approval in the US state of California for sale of its Employ pesticide product for use on almonds, grapes and walnuts for the suppression of nematodes, or roundworms.

Sales will start for the 2020 growing season through its distribution partner Wilbur-Ellis, the agriculture-focused company said. It added that field trials over two years have shown substantial yield increases in almonds and grapes following the use of Employ.

The sale of the company's Employ product was approved by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.

Plant Health shares were up 14% at 13.08 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
