OSB Group appoints Enrique Labiano as CEO

Fri, 20th Feb 2026 16:35

(Sharecast News) - OSB Group said on Friday that it has appointed Enrique Alvarez Labiano as chief executive officer with effect from a date to be agreed.

Labiano is CEO of retail and business banking and an executive director of Santander UK and Santander UK Group Holdings.

He joined Santander Group in 2015, progressing through senior strategy roles, including group head of strategy and chief of staff to the executive chair, during which he also led the insurance business and responsible banking. In 2019, he became head of strategy and corporate development before serving as chief people officer (2020) and head of everyday banking (2021).

He has been CEO of retail and business banking since 2023 and joined the Santander UK board in February last year. Earlier in his career, he worked as a partner at McKinsey & Company between 2007 and 2015.

Labiano will succeed Andy Golding, whose retirement was announced in November.

OSBG said a further announcement about the date on which Labiano will join will be made in due course.

Chairman David Weymouth said: "Enrique brings compelling strategic vision having extensive experience leading group-level strategy at Santander. His strong track record in retail and business banking, together with his excellent leadership experience will be instrumental in building on the strengths of the existing management team, and I look forward to welcoming him to OSBG."
