Ocado Taps BT Strategy & Transformation Boss Sherman As Non-Executive

(Alliance News) - Ocado Group PLC on Tuesday said it appointed Michael Sherman as an independent non-executive director, with effect from October 5.

Sherman currently served as chief strategy & transformation officer at BT Group PLC.

The FTSE 100-listed online grocer said Sherman brings a wealth of experience in growth strategy and improving operational efficiency in the technology and telecommunications industry.

"I am delighted to welcome Michael to our board. Michael has extensive experience and skills in the technology sector, and I am confident his insight and expertise will be an invaluable asset to the board and our continued growth and development as a technology-led software and robotics platform business," said Ocado Chair Stuart Rose.

Ocado shares were trading 1.7% lower in London on Tuesday at 2,305.00 pence each.
