(Alliance News) - Mediclinic International PLC on Friday said Edwin Hertzog will retire as deputy chair and non-executive director of Remgro Ltd on Thursday next week.
Remgro is Mediclinic's principal shareholder.
The company previously had said that Hertzog would leave Mediclinic as chair upon completion of the company's 2020 annual general meeting, which will take place next July.
On Friday, Mediclinic said a search for Hertzog's successor as chair has been initiated and it will provide an update "when appropriate".
The stock was trading 0.6% higher in London on Friday morning at 399.80 pence each, while in Johannesburg, the shares were down 0.7% at ZAR75.44 each.
