LONDON (Alliance News) - Kosmos Energy Ltd on Tuesday said that it has repurchased USD188 million worth of its shares from Warburg Pincus LLC.
The oil and gas explorer also said the previously announced public offering of 15 million of shares by Warburg Pincus was priced at USD5.43 per share, raising a gross USD81.5 million for the US private equity firm.
Shares in Kosmos Energy were untraded in London at 443.00 pence on Tuesday. They closed in New York on Monday at USD5.77.
Kosmos will not receive any of the proceeds from the public sale of its shares by Warburg Pincus. Barclays acted as underwriter of the offering.
Warburg Pincus has granted the underwriter an option to purchase up to an additional 2.3 million common shares. The share offering is expected to close on Thursday.
