Supermarket Income REIT PLC - supermarket property investor - Notes that in relation to a joint venture with British Airways Pension Trustees Ltd - which holds a 51% interest in the Sainsbury's Reversion Portfolio, which holds 26 Sainsbury's supermarkets - J Sainsbury PLC has exercised its second purchase option to acquire eight stores within the portfolio.
The acquisition will be completed in July 2023 once the current occupational leases expire. The purchase price will be determined based on the assumption of a new-20-year lease to Sainsbury's.
