Biotech Growth Trust PLC - London-based investor in global biotechnology companies - Appoints Nicola Shepherd as independent non-executive director effective from Monday. Says Shepherd is the founder and a director of biomedical translational company Bellows Consulting Ltd. She also has held positions at AstraZeneca PLC in late-stage development and manufacturing, at Brown University in the US, carrying out post-doctoral research into complex formulations, and as a senior member of the Innovations Division at the Wellcome Trust in London, where she was responsible for the establishment, management and oversight of the translation fund.
