IN BRIEF: BigDish to become Amala as joint venture nears completion

BigDish PLC - Jersey-based yield management platform for the restaurant industry - Says shareholders approved change of its name to Amala Foods PLC. At the end of February, BigDish said it was in the process of forming a joint venture food technology company Amala Foods Inc, which is being established for the production and distribution of minimally processed plant-based meat products initially within Asia. BigDish says it expects the completion of the joint venture within the coming weeks.

Current stock price: 2.05 pence, closed up 12% on Monday

Year-to-date change: more than doubled from 0.93p on December 31
