IN BRIEF: Begbies Traynor to become BTG Consulting as diversifies

Begbies Traynor Group PLC - Manchester, England-based company insolvency and restructuring and real estate advisory - Plans to change its name to BTG Consulting PLC to reflect its development into a "broad-based financial and real estate advisory business" from the company's origins in insolvency and restructuring. BTG will be used as a common brand throughout the company, with the insolvency arm called BTG Begbies Traynor and the real estate advisory called BTG Eddisons. The company will start trading under the new name and BTG exchange ticker once the name is certified by Companies House.

"The updated branding is better aligned with the broad range of services and capabilities available within the group and our ability to assist our clients across multiple areas of expertise," says Executive Chair Ric Traynor.

Current stock price: 120.23 pence, up 1.9% in London on Monday for GBP193.7 million market capitalisation

12-month change: up 29%
