HgCapital To Join FTSE 250 Following Virgin Money Acquisition By CYBG

LONDON (Alliance News) - Private equity firm HgCapital Trust PLC is to join the FTSE 250 Index on Monday, following the acquisition of current index member Virgin Money Holdings UK PLC.

CYBG PLC, which owns Clydesdale Bank, was granted court approval for its GBP1.70 billion all-share acquisition of Virgin Money on Thursday.

HgCapital will be added to the FTSE 250 on Monday.

Shares in HgCapital closed down 1.0% at 1,965.00 pence on Wednesday. Shares in CYBG were also down 1.0%, closing at 287.40p. Virgin Money closed down 1.4% at 346.00p.
