Ferguson changes parent company to Ferguson Enterprises amid US shift

(Alliance News) - Ferguson Enterprises Inc on Thursday became the new parent company of Ferguson PLC, as the heating and plumbing products distributor continued to move its attention to the US.

Formerly based in Wokingham, England, Ferguson now has its headquarters in Newport News, Virginia.

Ferguson PLC has been re-registered as a private company in Jersey in the Channel Islands and renamed Ferguson (Jersey) Ltd. Its parent company now is Ferguson Enterprises Inc, a Delaware registered company.

Ferguson PLC shares were cancelled from trading on the London Stock Exchange on Thursday, replaced by Ferguson Enterprises, and the same is planned for its listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Its ticker symbol remains FERG.

Ferguson Enterprises shares were up 0.2% to 17,270.00 pence in London early Thursday afternoon.
