May 26 (Reuters) - BP ousted Chair Albert Manifold ​with immediate ⁠effect on Tuesday, citing ​governance standards, oversight and conduct issues, less than eight months after he took office to ​help ‌oversee a strategy revamp, the latest in a string of scandals and ⁠leadership changes at the oil company. Manifold's departure follows ⁠the 2023 dismissal of ​former CEO Bernard Looney and the abrupt exit of CEO Murray Auchincloss last year.
