(Alliance News) - Downing Strategic Micro-Cap Investment Trust PLC on Monday said it appointed William Dawkins as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
The company, which holds a portfolio of UK micro-cap investments, said Dawkins is head of UK Board Practice at recruitment and consulting firm Spencer Stuart.
Dawkins also chairs and is a trustee & director of the Evelyn Trust, a medical research grant giving charity, and is a governor & director of The Perse School, Cambridge.
"This appointment not only restores the board to four directors but continues the principle of having board members each with different perspectives," said Chair Hugh Aldous.
"Will Dawkins brings to Downing Strategic Micro-Cap Investment Trust the bright, enquiring and observant mind of a top financial journalist and foreign editor combined with years of experience in senior executive search," added Aldous.
Downing Strategic Micro-Cap was trading 0.6% lower on Monday in London at 65.88 pence a share.
