DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Barclays Renumeration Committee Chair Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Barclays PLC Friday said Crawford Gillies, newly appointed Chairman of its remuneration committee bought 40,000 shares at a price of 239.76 pence per share Thursday.

Following this transaction, Gillies has a total beneficial interest in 50,000 shares in the financial services company.

Shares were trading at 243.35 pence up 1.3% Friday.
