Conroy Gold shares up as finds 5 further gold anomalies at Skullmartin

(Alliance News) - Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC on Tuesday said it has discovered five further gold anomalies along the Skullmartin gold trend, in the Longford-Down Massif in Ireland.

Shares in Conroy Gold jumped 22% to 5.50 pence in London on Tuesday.

The Ireland and Finland-focused gold exploration and development company said the anomalies - Clarebane, Knockreagh, Shanco, Taghart and Moyer - are additional to the already-discovered Creenkill and Bocks.

Two of the anomalies cover "substantial" areas, noted Conroy Gold, with Moyer at 3 kilometres by 3km, and Shanco at 3km by 1km.

Its regional programme has been "very successful at first pass" in finding substantial gold anomalies for further follow up, prospecting and sampling, the company continued.

"This is a positive step forward with the identification of five new gold anomalies bringing the total on the expanded 30km length Skullmartin trend to seven to date," said Chair John Sherman.

"These discoveries, while early stage, significantly support the exploration potential along the Skullmartin trend where free gold in outcrop with values of up to 123.0 [grammes per tonne of gold] have been discovered at Creenkill."
