(Alliance News) - Bluejay Mining PLC on Tuesday said it is still working towards securing an exploitation licence at an ilmenite project in Greenland, where it has named a new non-executive director.
Approval from Greenland's Mineral Licence & Safety Authority will allow the company to begin mining at the Dundas project.
The asset is operated by its wholly-owned Dundas Titanium AS subsidiary. Bluejay announced that Per Olsen has been appointed as a non-executive director of Dundas Titanium.
Bluejay said: "Based in Nuuk, Greenland and on the board of several companies he is very well-connected in Greenland and is a skilled negotiator and analyst with a deep knowledge of the country's society and politics."
The exploitation licence covers the onshore portion of Dundas and once approved will allow the company to produce 440,000 tonnes per year.
Bluejay shares closed 1.4% lower at 7.55 pence each in London on Tuesday.
