Avon Technologies receives new FM50 order worth over USD20 million

Thu, 11th Dec 2025 12:04

(Alliance News) - Avon Technologies PLC on Thursday said it had received a new order for FM50 respirators and FM61EU filters from an undisclosed European defence ministry.

The Wiltshire, England-based military protection equipment manufacturer said the order, which is worth approximately USD20.6 million, will be delivered over financial 2026 and 2027.

The order was carried out through the Nato support & procurement agency contract vehicle, which Avon Protection was awarded in 2020.

The FM50 mask and the FM61EU filter - which is intended to be fitted with the FM50 - are designed to protect the wearer from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

In November, Avon Technologies attributed its revenue and order book growth to an "an increased focus" on CBRN protection.

The company said the order underpins its expectations and is in line with guidance for financial 2026 and beyond.

For financial 2026, key targets include high-single-digit revenue growth and operating margins to reach the target range of 14% to 16%.

"The FM50 is the most operationally proven and widely deployed battlefield respirator in the world. We are pleased that a key European MoD has elected to continue protecting its personnel with this world-leading respirator, further demonstrating Avon Protection as the leader in warfighter protection in a structurally heightened global threat environment," said Chief Executive Jos Sclater.

Shares in Avon Technologies rose 0.1% to 1,790.00 pence on Thursday morning in London.
