LONDON (Alliance News) - Witan Investment Trust PLC Monday said its net asset value per share total return in the three months ended March 31 was 0.3%, while its benchmark returned 0.0%.
The trust, which targets capital and income growth from active investment in global equities, said its share price total return over the three months was 3.1%.
NAV per share was 710.85 pence at the end of March, while the share price was 685.00 pence. The shares traded at a 3.6% discount to NAV.
Employing a multi-manager approach since 2004, Witan said 20.3% of its assets were allocated to financials at the end of March.
Witan's benchmark is a composite of four indices: 40% FTSE All-Share and 20% each in FTSE All-World North America, FTSE All-World Europe (ex UK) Index and FTSE All-World Asia Pacific Index.
The NAV figures value debt at market value.
Witan shares were Monday quoted at 699.00 pence, up 1.00 pence, or 0.1%.
