Westminster Group Happy With Contracts Agreed For Ghana's Tema Port

Wed, 18th Sep 2019 12:42

(Alliance News) - Security firm Westminster Group PLC on Wednesday said it is "pleased" with the outcome of contract negotiations at Ghana's new Tema port terminal.

Westminster is the sole appointment contract at Tema to provide X-ray screening and secondary searches of containers passing through the port.

The company said contracts are now in place between all parties, in including the operator of the port and other contractors, and the outcome is "pleasing".

The contracts will be signed once some financial arrangements have been put in place by the operator of the port, Meridian Port Services, and port authorities in Ghana, which is ongoing.

Shares were up 9.3% in London on Wednesday afternoon at a price of 9.84 pence each.
