WPP's New York advertising network POSSIBLE Worldwide has acquired Media Republic Development, a digital marketing firm in the Netherlands. Media Republic will become part of GreyPossible Benelux, which itself was formed earlier this year when WPP merged its Grey agency's Amsterdam and Brussels operations with Possible Amsterdam to create a single integrated communications agency.Last year Media Republic generated revenue of $1.7m, with gross assets of $0.58m at the year-end. The investment is part of WPP's strategy of developing its services in important markets and sectors and supports its commitment to expanding its capabilities in online, social and mobile communications, it explained.
