Windar Photonics PLC - Copenhagen, Denmark-based light detection and ranging optimization systems developer - Wins second volume order under company's global distribution agreement with Vestas Wind Systems AS. Order is for 89 WindEye 3 systems for two wind sites located in North America, with delivery expected to commence during the first quarter of 2022.
First order was for 110 systems, signed in November.
"The global distribution agreement with Vestas was entered into for the purpose of offering the company's LiDAR technology to the global marketplace as a retrofit product to optimise the energy production from existing assets. This second volume order is with a new end customer, enhancing the market penetration of the company's LiDAR systems and diversifying the end customer base," company explains.
