Walker Greenbank Brands Ink Agreement With Next For New Products

Mon, 09th Nov 2020 10:55

(Alliance News) - Walker Greenbank PLC on Monday announced that its Sanderson, Sanderson Home and Morris & Co brands have inked a licensing agreement with clothing and homeware retailer Next for an "extensive" range of clothing.

The Buckinghamshire-based interior furnishings firm said the two-year licensing agreement also includes homeware and accessories.

With the Morris & Co brand, which is best known for wallpaper and fabric designs, Next will produce womenswear, men's shirts, childrenswear and other apparel. This is anticipated to launch in June, 2021.

Next will produce a range of homeware for the Sanderson and Sanderson Home brands, which are best known for interior designs inspired by the English countryside. These products are expected to be launched after the Morris & Co apparel launch.

Walker Greenbank Chief Executive Lisa Montague said: "We have developed an excellent working relationship with Next through our successful collaboration on our youthful Scion brand. We're hugely excited to be able to extend this relationship with our iconic Sanderson and Morris & Co brands, whose traditional roots and enduring appeal have particular resonance at the current time.

"This new licensing agreement marks a tremendous opportunity to bring Sanderson and Morris & Co to new customers through inventive new products being developed by Next."

Walker Greenbank shares were up 14% at 68.70 pence each in London on Monday morning.
