(Alliance News) - Versarien PLC on Tuesday said it continues to make progress with its current and potential partners in the US.
The AIM-listed materials engineering company said it has entered into confidentiality agreements to examine collaborations and develop trials in the region.
Versarien also said it has strengthened its US profile by attending two trade missions in the final quarter of 2019, supported by the UK government.
In addition, the company noted that its US business has a serviced office location, with resident of North American Operations Brian Berney being the only full-time employee in the US. He is supported by the UK company team, Versarien noted.
"This strategy is in line with the group's approach to keep cost to a minimum and utilise customer's research & development facilities, where possible, as well as the company's research & development expertise and available facilities in the UK," Versarien said in its statement Tuesday.
Versarien said it has laboratory facilities at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre in the UK and access to third party laboratory facilities in Texas, which are utilised on a flexible basis and only as required.
The stock was trading 1.5% lower in London on Tuesday at 83.22 pence a share.
