Tex Holdings Hails GBP12 Million Order Book After Positive Trading

Tue, 24th Sep 2019 15:43

(Alliance News) - Engineering company Tex Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it has a record order book of more than GBP12 million, part of which will be delivered in 2020.

Tex reported that its ATC Division experienced "an upturn in trading" after it received funds in respect to delayed contracts to supply five air traffic control rooms to Nigerian airports.

Tex added: "ATC Division also continues to support the Aircraft Carrier Alliance in the successful commissioning of HMS Prince of Wales and a letter of credit has been received in respect of the supply of glass and wipers for an Aircraft Carrier for a Sovereign Navy."

The Aircraft Carrier Alliance is partnership of BAE Systems PLC, Babcock International Group PLC, Thales Group and the UK Ministry of Defence.

The plastics division is also trading positively, maintaining previous performing levels, the company said.

BSP International Foundations and Tex Engineering are performing "as expected", following cost reductions, the firm said.

Tex said: "In summary, the board is pleased to announce that the group currently has a record order book in excess of GBP12 million, part of which will be delivered in 2020. The board remains confident in the ongoing trading performance of the group."

Shares in Tex are currently suspended.
