TRADING UPDATES: Newbury revenue gallops; Bens Creek gets green light

Thu, 22nd Sep 2022 17:46

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Good Energy Group PLC - Chippenham, England-based renewable energy supplier - Zap-Map investee teams with Nissan Motor Co. Partnership means buyers of Nissan electric vehicles are given premium Zap-Map subscription. Zap-Map is an electric vehicle charge point mapping service.

----------

Bens Creek Group PLC - operates metallurgical coal mine in US state of West Virginia - Says Department of Environmental Protection in West Virginia grants initial five-year permit to mine "much larger area" than is currently being mined by highwall mining contractor. Permit allows firm to deploy second highwall miner. "This will enable the company to steadily increase its production of metallurgical coal from current levels as it seeks to achieve its monthly production targets, as previously announced," Bens Creek says.

----------

Trakm8 Holdings PLC - Birmingham-based telematics and data insight provider - Says during first five months of financial year, new Insurance unit sales were up 78% year-on-year. New fleet sales, however, down 4%. "As a result, overall connections have grown by 13% during the five-month period to 299,000," company says. "We expect that the number of connections will continue to grow significantly in the second half of the year, which will be the driver for increased recurring revenues."

----------

Time Finance PLC - Bath, England-headquartered funding solutions provider - Revenue in year ended May 31 falls 2.4% to GBP23.6 million from GBP24.2 million. Pretax profit falls 48% to GBP1.1 million from GBP2.0 million. "Very pleasing progress has been made against the group's medium-term strategic plan that was launched in June 2021 and I am very positive about the delivery of strong and sustained results over the next few years," Non-Executive Chair Tanya Raynes says. In first quarter of new year, revenue up 12% to GBP6.3 million from GBP5.6 million a year earlier. Pretax profit jumps to GBP900,000 from GBP400,000. "The increase in revenue is driven by solid growth in the lending book," Time Finance says.

----------

Newbury Racecourse PLC - Newbury, England-based racing, entertainment and events company - Revenue in first half of 2022 rises 46% to GBP7.8 million from GBP5.4 million a year earlier. Swing to pretax profit of GBP217,000 from GBP336,000 loss a year earlier. Better outturn comes as raceday attendances jump to 57,300 from 4,400 a year earlier. "Fifteen meetings held with a paying attendance crowd compared with two meetings (plus ten held behind closed doors) in 2021," Newbury Racecourse says.
