Thu, 10th Jun 2010 12:56

Botswana focused African Diamonds says approval for the final AK6 feasibility studies is expected at the end of June and the mine remains on target to come on stream during the third quarter of 2011.The company is ramping up exploration on its 100% owned Botswana exploration licences, wit the focus on three Orapa kimberlites each with the potential to be stand alone or feeder mines to the AK6 mine.International Brand Licensing, currently building a business within the in vitro diagnostic devices market, lost £203,000 in 2009 as turnover nearly halved to £256,000.African Eagle has completed 98 holes of infill and definition drilling at the main Wamangola Hill deposit at the miner's Dutwa nickel project in Tanzania. It's hoped the latest programme will lead to a higher resource estimate and upgrade a "significant" proportion of it to JORC Indicated category. "These results, together with additional step-out drill results already delivered, should also provide an increase to the inferred resource of 31 million tonnes at 1.1% average nickel grade, announced in November 2008," it said.Tricorn Group, a maker of pipes for the power industry and aircraft engines, confirmed well-flagged annual revenue of £15m, down 32%, and profit before one-off items of £288,000, down 77%."With demand in a number of key markets improving through the latter part of the year, the Group remains well positioned to make further progress over the coming months," said chairman Nick Paul.Loss before tax at mining company Noventa more than halved to $10.8m in 2009 from $22.3m the year before. Revenue eased to $5.7m from $5.9m.The company, which had a fund raising earlier this week, unveiled a three-year strategic plan which it believes will contribute to the company becoming cash generative in 2011.
