LONDON (Alliance News) - Sunrise Resources PLC Monday said it has uncovered further positive diamond results from its Cue Diamond project in Western Australia.
The AIM-listed mineral exploration and development company said its Target 5 Kimberlite float on the Cue Diamond project found 204 kilograms of sample returns with a high diamond count of 1.08 per kilogram.
The tests also recovered 221 diamonds and suggested the company can uncover bulk levels of commercial sized stones, Sunrise Resources said.
The company said it is now completing further studies of the site, which it believes could have a higher economic potential than originally expected.
Sunrise Resources shares were up 20% to 0.749 pence in early trading Monday.
