LONDON (Alliance News) - Spire Healthcare Group PLC on Monday said it sold the site of its former hospital at Whalley Range, Manchester, to the Council of the City of Manchester for GBP4.3 million.
The private healthcare provider said it intends to use the proceeds to reduce its net debt.
The company said it opened its new, purpose-built Spire Manchester hospital in Didsbury in January last year following the successful transition from the former hospital at Whalley Range.
Shares in Spire were trading 3.1% higher on Monday at 146.90 pence each.
