(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Robert Walters, up 6.3% at 772.00 pence, 12-month range 344p-797.7p. The recruitment agency said trading momentum continued to accelerate through the second quarter, with June performance particularly strong. Full-year profit now expected to be "significantly ahead" of prior forecast. In second quarter, group gross profit GBP89.0 million, up 25% on a year ago. "We enter the second half of the year with cautious optimism and confidence that we are very well positioned to continue to take advantage of market opportunities as they arise," says Chief Executive Robert Walters. Firm in June upgraded 2021 outlook for a second time.

Schroder European Real Estate Investment Trust PLC, up 4.6% at 104p, 12-month range 56.5p-104.6p. Says rent collection stands at 92% for six months to March 31 amid portfolio resilience during pandemic. Net asset value per share 147.4 cents at end of March, below the 150.9 cents reported at end of September but up from 136.2 cents at March 31, 2020.

Wincanton, down 9.4% at 426p, 12-month range 160p-470p. The logistics firm says strong revenue performance has continued into new financial year and firm trading in line with expectations, with profit up "significantly" on same period a year ago. However, adds it is mindful of sector-wide pressures related to the availability of drivers. "Wincanton is taking steps to address this, including increased recruitment of permanent colleagues and the acceleration of training programmes," it says.

On the Beach Group PLC, down 4.8% at 331p, 12-month range 200.5p-517p. The online travel agent raises GBP26.0 million in fundraise, placing 7.8 million shares at price of 330p each. Placing price represents discount of 5.0% to Tuesday closing price. Company, after market close on Tuesday, said: "Given the extended disruption to international travel from the UK throughout 2021 and the ongoing trading environment across the sector, the board believes it is in the group's best interest to seek supplementary financing now."
