LONDON (Alliance News) - Rightster Group PLC said Monday that it has been selected by Arts Council England to establish and manage a new multi-channel network for the arts.
Rightster distributes and monetises live and on-demand video content. The AIM-listed company said the Arts Council grant is worth GBP1.8 million over 3.5 years.
The company is set to commence development work with the arts and culture sector in October 2014 with a view to launching the arts MCN proposition in spring/summer 2015.
"Over the coming months we look forward to extending the reach and impact of publicly funded arts content, creating new online destinations and connecting passionate communities of interest in the arts," said Rightster Founder and Chief Executive Charlie Muirhead.
Shares in the company were trading 3.70% lower at 52.00 pence per share Monday morning.
