(Alliance News) - Rockhopper Exploration PLC said Monday that the Falkland Islands government has extended the duration of the PL032 Discovery Area Licence until May 1, 2021, with no additional licence commitments.
The licence, in which Rockhopper has a 40% working interest was previously due to expire on April 15, 2020.
The PL032 licence is located in the offshore North Falkland basin, and contains the Sea Lion field.
Shares in the oil & gas firm - which is headquartered in London - were up 1.2% at 18.14 pence on Monday.
