LONDON (Alliance News) - Ruffer Investment Company Ltd Wednesday reported a negative total return between the start of January and the end of March.
Net asset value per share decreased to 205.6 pence at the end of March from 212.1 pence on the first day of January. The company's recorded a negative 3.1% total return net of fees and expenses. Its objective return is 0.25%, twice the time-weighted Bank of England base rate over the period.
Since inception on July 7, 2004 the company's total return is 141.6%, while the time-weighted Bank of England base rate return is 63.3%.
Ruffer shares were Wednesday quoted at 209.25 pence, up 0.4%.
