(Corrects third paragraph to read 34 instead of 35 companies;deletes Okada Servicos de Giociências from table because bid wasrejected) SAO PAULO, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Brazil's oil regulator ANPsaid on Tuesday it had approved an additional 22 companies toparticipate in the so-called 13th-round auction of oilexploration and production rights set for Oct. 7. The 22 approved companies announced on Tuesday includeNorway's Statoil ASA, France's Total SA,Anadarko Petroleum Corp and ExxonMobil Corp,join 12 firms already approved by ANP last week, according to ane-mailed statement from the regulator. With 12 companies approved last week, the approvalsannounced Tuesday bring the total number of companies authorizedto participate in the auction to 34, according to the ANP Website.
