(Alliance News) - Builders' merchant Travis Perkins PLC on Thursday said that Pete Redfern will step down as a senior independent director on June 1.
Redfern will then step down from the board at the Northampton, England-headquartered company's meeting on September 19.
Travis Perkins said it has appointed Jez Maiden as Redfern's successor. He will be appointed as a non-executive and senior independent director on June 1.
The company said that Maiden has over forty years of business, leadership and corporate experience spanning "diverse" sectors.
Most recently, Maiden was finance director for Croda International PLC. Croda is a FTSE 100-listed Yorkshire, England-based chemicals maker.
Maiden stepped down from Croda's board on April 26, before retiring from the company on May 31. He had joined the company in January 2015.
Maiden has also held a number of non-executive positions. He is currently a non-executive director at Intertek Group PLC. Previously, Maiden was a non-executive at PZ Cussons PLC and Synthomer PLC.
