Plexus Appoints Rucinski As North American Head To Boost Expansion

Thu, 22nd Oct 2015 08:30

LONDON (Alliance News) - Plexus Holdings PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Lawrence Rucinski as president of its North American operations for an initial 12 month period to boost its expansion in North America and Asia.

Plexus said it has made the appointment through Rucinkski's consultancy firm Global Growth Partners LLC and hopes his 30 years of experience in the subsea oil and gas sector can benefit the company.

Rucinski's most recent role was the director of sales and marketing at the global subsea unit of FMC Technologies Inc.

Plexus said it has made the appointment because of its expansion using its recently launched POS-GRIP Python subsea wellhead, which is providing a new "best-in-class standard" building on the experience of the major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico back in 2010 by BP PLC, Halliburton and TransOcean.

The POS-GRIP wellhead is a safer and more technically advanced system that also offers companies operational cost savings and increased reliability, a priority for most oil companies.

Building on that expansion, Plexus is hoping Rucinkski can use his North American relationships to expand further in the region.

"In addition, Mr Rucinski will specifically leverage his experience in Asia to support the Plexus Asian team in China, in conjunction with the company's agreement with Chinese licensing partner Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group," it said.

"We are delighted to welcome Lawrence as president, North America at this exciting time for Plexus as we expand our international relationships and the POS-GRIP product range, particularly in the subsea and production wellhead arenas," said Chief Executive and inventor of the POS-GRIP system, Ben van Bilderbeek.

Plexus shares were down 1.3% to 162.65 pence per share on Thursday morning.
