EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Focusrite And Medica Finance Chiefs To Leave

Wed, 18th Mar 2020 19:48

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of company director and manager changes announced on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Focusrite PLC - CFO Jeremy Wilson to leave company at end of 2020, and board has started recruitment process for replacement. Focusrite, which supplies hardware and software to musicians and the entertaiment industry, also said Wednesday revenue rose to GBP50 million in the first half of its financial year ending August 31, from GBP40.4 million a year before. This was despite the Covid-19 outbreak disrupting supplies from China in February. Underlying performance is in line with market expectations, but it is hard to quantify virus disruption in second half, it said.

----------

Medica Group PLC - Finance Director Tony Lee to leave after 10 years to pursue other business opportunities by mutual agreement. Departure date to be determined. Hires Robert Lavis in new role of clinical director, starting June 1 and reporting to Medical Director Stephen Davies. Lavis joins from Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Medica says 2019 trading was in line with market expectations.

----------

Oracle Power PLC - Hires veteran coal mine manager Glen Lewis as non-executive director, immediately. Developed a number of significant coal deposits, including United Colliery and Dartbrook Coal in the Hunter Valley in Australia.

----------

Windar Photonics PLC - Simon Barrell resigns as non-executive director immediately, having served for five years.

----------

Strix Group PLC - Richard Sells hired as a non-executive director, immediately. Former executive with Electrolux AB as chief innovation officer. Also ran Electrolux's refrigeration business and was UK managing director. Strix, a kettle safety products maker, also Wednesday reported a "solid" annual performance with profit, revenue and payout all rising. Revenue in 2019 climbed 3.3% to GBP96.9 million, and pretax profit was 3.4% higher at GBP30.2 million. Adjusted pretax profit was up 9.9% to GBP32.1 million.
