Empresaria, the international staffing group, saw revenues for the current financial year to April, excluding discontinued operations, fall 4% on the same period in 2008 and net fee income down 22%."These volume reductions are driven largely by reductions in permanent fee income levels (34% down at the end of April) with temporary revenues remaining consistent with the previous year," said the group.Polymer engineering company Avon Rubber has won an order from the US Department of Defense for M50 mask filters and spares worth $22.3m. Avon, which will supply over 700,000 filters by August 2010, has already delivered more than 200,000 new M50 mask systems under its 10 year sole source contract.InterBulk, an expert at moving liquid and dry bulk materials, has won new business through the Syngenta 2009/2010 global tender for bulk liquids.It's expected that turnover with plant science giant Syngenta will grow to about £3m a year as a result of the deal.There are gains for LED technology specialist Dialight after it received commitments from a major US telecommunications tower operator to adopt its white obstruction tower lighting.The deal is valued at about $12m over the next 24 months, with initial shipments to start in the second half of 2009."We anticipate a strong pipeline of further orders as other tower operators recognize the substantial benefits that LED lighting offers," said boss Roy Burton.Shanta Gold has commissioned a conceptual mining study contract and an environmental and social impact assessment for the Chunya project in southern Tanzania. TWP Projects in South Africa have been contracted to conduct the study and PaulSam Geo-Engineering of Tanzania will conduct the ESIA.India Hospitality said its working capital position has significantly improved since the last trading update provided on 19 December. As at today's date, the company's cash balance is approximately $5m with an additional $2m committed cash loan from Navis Capital Partners.Television production firm Motive Television saw pre-tax profits increase 3% to £777,000 on revenue that rise 30% to £4m.Internet gambling software developer Cryptologic has signed up for BT's managed services programme for a three year period. BT will proactively monitor Cryptologic's global network infrastructure. Cryptologic said the agreement would reduce service downtime and improve the availability of its services on clients' web sites.
