LONDON (Alliance News) - Landore Resources Ltd on Monday said it has received positive drilling results from its winter exploration campaign on the Junior Lake nickel-copper-platinum group elements property in Ontario, Canada.
The mining exploration company said the campaign confirmed the continuity of the palladium enriched Alpha Zone over a distance of 700 metres, and Landore said the delineation of the Alpha zone "has the potential to add significant tonnage to the existing B-47 resource," it said.
The Alpha zone is adjacent to the main B-47 exploration target on the project, and the winter drilling campaign also successfully intersected the B-47 massive sulphide mineralisation, which could add a potential 1.5 million to 2.0 million tonnes of sulphide mineralisation to the B-47 deposit.
Landore said the additional tonnage would be at around the same grade as the B-47 deposit of 1.24% nickel equivalent.
The company is currently selecting independent engineers to complete the pre-feasibility level metallurgical and geotechnical studies on the B4-7 deposit, including the Alpha zone, before the fourth quarter of 2015.
Landore is also planning a definition drilling programme in the area in the second half of the year, with the aim of bringing the B-47 resource into the inferred category, leading to an updated resource including the new discoveries from the winter drilling campaign.
