TRADING UPDATES: DX expands in Kent; Serabi in best quarter since 2019

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

DX Group PLC - Slough, England-based parcel freight, secure courier and logistics - Expands Maidstone, Kent depot by acquiring adjacent site. Doubles site's footprint to more than 88,000 square feet. "The enlarged depot will serve DX's Freight division, which provides B2B and B2C parcel freight services, and specialises in the delivery of larger and heavier items, including irregular dimension and weight freight," DX adds. "The expansion is in line with DX's growth plans to add further capacity in Kent and the wider region while improving services to existing customers." Says Maidstone depot is fourth new or upgraded site and DX has plans for more openings later this year.

Serabi Gold PLC - gold exploration and production company focused on Brazil - Second quarter output rises to 9,274 ounces of gold, up 9.1% yearly and best quarter since 2019. Maintains forecast for annual output between 33,000 and 36,000 ounces. Tips rise to 45,000 ounces in 2022.

Panthera Resources PLC - gold exploration and development company focused on west Africa and India - Says 9,997 metres of aircore drilling completed on 164 holes at Bassala project. Notes 392 metres of reverse circulation drilling done at four drilling holes. Adds 1,195 samples submitted to laboratory and assay results expected in August.

Pembridge Resources PLC - holds investment in Minto Explorations Ltd, which operates Minto copper-gold-silver mine in Yukon, Canada - Minto output in second quarter rises to 8,323 wet metric tonnes of concentrate, up 19% from 7,023 in first quarter. Minto receives USD26.0 million payments from Sumitomo, improved from USD20.8 million in first quarter. "Second quarter production at Minto has exceeded Q1 2021 performance, previously its best to date, by a considerable margin in terms of both production output and cash receipts," Pembridge Chief Executive Gati Al-Jebouri says.

Cadence Minerals PLC - London based identifier, investor, and developer of rare-earth assets - Investee Macarthur Minerals Ltd strikes deal with ASX-listed iron ore producer GWR Group Ltd. Macarthur may purchase up to 400,000 tonnes per year of direct shipment ore from GWR's Wiluna West project in Australia.

Castillo Copper Ltd - base metal explorer focused on Australia and Zambia - Hails "significant drilling results at Big One deposit, Australia. Says visible copper mineralisation, up to 34 metres thick in one zone. "By reconciling these new data points with the geological modelling completed to date, the company has clearly verified material extensions to known mineralisation and potentially a larger underlying system then initially envisaged," Castillo says.

Horizonte Minerals PLC - nickel company focused on Brazil - Says "significant progress" on preparing Araguaia nickel project, Brazil. This includes "competitive tender" for processing equipment, electric furnace and project management services at asset. Says financing talks remain on track and "key environmental and social programmes continuing in preparation for construction phase".

Bluejay Mining PLC - exploration and development company with projects in Greenland and Finland - Says UK tax office HMRC withdraws decision to appeal on first-tier tribunal's decision. In mid-November, tribunal delivered its decision to allow Bluejay's appeal against HMRC's 2016 decisions to deny it credit for input VAT.

Capital Ltd - mining services company - Says revenue in first half ended June 30 rises 52% annually to USD98.7 million from USD65.1 million. Closing fleet size at 106, up 7.1% from 99. In second quarter alone, revenue rose 68%. Raises annual guidance. Now expects 2021 revenue between USD200 million and USD210 million, up from previous forecast of USD185 million and USD195 million.

Immedia Group PLC - AIM-listed supplier of multi-media content and digital solutions - Shares restored to trading as terminates talks for potential reverse takeover of Sprift Technologies Ltd. Says GBP900,000 secured loan to Sprift now becomes payable within 12 months and carries 15% annual interest. Also agrees recovery of GBP150,000 in costs, added to amount Sprift owes from loan.

Iofina PLC - iodine production in US state of Oklahoma - Reports "strong sales" of iodine and halogen products as customer markets reopen. Notes rise in spot iodine prices, now around USD35 to USD37 per kilogramme. "The company is seeing good demand for its iodine and halogen derivative products. Importantly, Iofina has been able to meet this demand and deliver strong H1 2021 sales, despite the interruption to the brine water supply at some plants in February," Iofina says.

Blackbird PLC - London-based cloud video editing platform - Selected by Athletes Unlimited, a US network of sports leagues covering lacrosse, volleyball and softball, to provide cloud video editing services. "Using browser-based Blackbird, the media operations team will have instant access to live and file-based content for the rapid editing, enriching and publishing of content to the Athletes Unlimited website, social channels and broadcast partners for fans to enjoy," Blackbird adds. Athletes Unlimited was co-founded by Jon Patricof, current president of New York City FC and Jonathan Soros, son of George Soros.

Maestrano Group PLC - London-based cloud-based open platform - Expects revenue in year ended June 30 to jump 92% to GBP1.7 million from GBP872,000. However, tips pretax loss to widen to GBP1.3 million from GBP970,000. Total expenses up 44% to GBP2.8 million from GBP1.9 million. "The success of our move to international markets is reflected in the near-doubling of year-on-year revenue," CEO Nick Smith says. "With our pipeline of new opportunities and the recent breakthrough in the USA, we are confident of continuing growth in FY22."

Johnson Service Group PLC - Cheshire, England-based textile rentals - Says trading improves since May update. Workwear volumes in June around 98% of normal levels, ticking up from 96% in May. "We have seen some uptick in sales opportunities as businesses return to more normal trading patterns," Johnson Service adds. "The rapid increase in volumes has resulted in all staff being brought back from furlough, such that no further furlough claims will be made from the end of June 2021. In addition, we have recruited a significant number of employees across HORECA and this is ongoing."

Checkit PLC - Cambridge-based workflow management software provider - Reports "suite of additions" to Checkit workflow management software. No allows for shared workflow libraries, which means workflow templates can be updated more easily. Update also includes job sharing functionality, allowing multiple staff to collaborate on one task. Also outlines "event-driven actions" function. This allows users of Checkit's monitoring technology to alert frontline employees to sensor alerts from equipment or buildings. "Again, this innovation represents an upsell opportunity for the group's existing customer base," Checkit adds.

Alumasc Group PLC - Kettering, England-based supplier of building and engineering products - Expects revenue in year ended June 30 of GBP90 million, up 18% annually. Expects underlying pretax profit ahead of board expectations. Notes promising demand and margins. Alumasc adds: "Demand remains strong entering the new financial year, which has started in line with management's expectations. The board is however cognisant of the potential for short-term disruption to our customers' operations from shortages of building materials, labour and road haulage; and delays in the global container shipping industry."

Malvern International PLC - Milton Keynes, England-based learning and skills development - Says University Pathways deposits for 2021/2022 intake ahead of prior year. "In light of Covid, the UK government has extended concessions around student visa rules until April 2022, which allow online studies to qualify for post-study work rights. However, with the current restrictions in place for international travel, we can reasonably expect some delays to student starts to January 2022," Malvern adds. Explains travel curbs mean it has not budgeted for summer camps this year, but notes smaller groups may be allowed if restrictions relaxed. Malvern adds: "Pleasingly, before our plans for camps for this summer were put on hold, we received a significant number of bookings which points to a strong demand for our product."
