(Alliance News) - Judges Scientific PLC said Thursday it has decided to pay a special dividend of GBP12.4 million, or GBP2.00 per share, with effect on December 10.
This decision follows an assessment of the industrial equipment supplier's cash resources and robust cash generations, which comes from a sustained strong performance.
Judges Scientific said the special dividend will absorb a modest proportion of the resources available to make acquisitions, and is confident that it will not interfere with the company's buy-and-build strategy.
"The payment of this special dividend is a reflection of our constant focus on shareholders' interests. Following this payment, the group will have returned to shareholders four and a half times the IPO price," said Chair Alex Hambro.
Shares in Judges Scientific - which is headquartered in London - were 0.2% higher at 5,070.00 pence on Friday.
