(Alliance News) - Tribal Group PLC on Monday said it has hired Nigel Halkes as a non-executive director effective immediately.
The education-focused software and services provider also said that Halkes would become audit committee chair following the company's annual general meeting in May.
Halkes, a chartered accountant, spent 35 years at accounting firm Ernst & Young Global Ltd and retired as managing partner of UK & Ireland markets in 2013. He currently serves on the boards of software provider I-Nexus Global PLC and industrial & property services firm Hargreaves Services PLC.
"I am very pleased to welcome Nigel to the board. His deep experience of advising and growing technology businesses during his executive and portfolio career will be highly valuable as we introduce Tribal Edge and execute our product roadmap strategy. I look forward to working with him," said Tribal Group Chair Richard Last.
Shares in Tribal Group were up 5% at 73.00 pence each on Monday afternoon in London.
