Hasard Global founder acquires shares worth £1.8m

Fri, 30th May 2014 16:15

The Non-Executive Chairman and founder of Hansard Global, Dr Leonard Polonsky, has increased his stake in the specialist long-term savings provider with the purchase of two million shares. Taking his stake in the group to 41.34%, Polonsky spent 90p a share at a total trade value of £1.8m. The deal was made three weeks after the group reported profitable trading for the nine months ended March 31st, although said new business volumes were around 45% below the level of new business for the comparative period in the prior financial year. Meanwhile, after the close on Thursday, business-to-business FTSE small cap group Brammer said its Chief Executive Officer Ian Fraser had sold close to a third of his stake in the group, profiting from gains seen in the share price since the release of an upbeat statement two weeks earlier. In a deal worth £1.9m, Brammer and an unnamed connected person pocketed an average of 479p on each of the 400,000 shares, which were sold during the one week period ended May 29th. A board member since 1998, the director retained a beneficial interest of 915,151 shares. He also holds options over a 1.87% stake in the group.
