(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Hochschild Mining PLC, up 10% at 63.52 pence, 12-month range 51.19p-175.68p. Says third quarter was the strongest in the year so far as it announced a "major discovery" at the Pallancata deposit. In the three months to September 30, Hochschild produced 116,000 ounces of gold equivalent. This was down from 122,000 ounces produced in the same period last year but up on the 107,000 produced last quarter. It sold 63,000 ounces of gold, down from 69,000 last year, and 3.9 million ounces of silver, up from 3.8 million last year. Hochschild said it is on track to deliver full year attributable production target of between 360,000 and 375,000 gold equivalent ounces and between 26 and 27 million silver equivalent ounces. The company also announced a "major discovery" at the Pallancata deposit. Although located just outside the existing permitted area, it is expected to ensure the medium to long-term future of the mine.

Made.Com Group PLC, down 20% at 0.40p, 12-month range 0.40p-165.00p. Continues to plummet after it reports on Tuesday talks with possible suitors fell through, with the sofa seller now edging precariously closer to collapse. Made said that discussions with a "select number of parties" yielded little success. "Following further discussion, those parties have all now confirmed to the company that they are unable to meet the necessary timetable. As a result, those discussions have been terminated and the company is no longer in receipt of funding proposals or possible offers for the issued and to be issued share capital of the company," Made said. It remains in a formal sale process, but cautioned there is no certainty that a buyout will materialise. It floated at 200p meaning the stock has lost 99% of its value since then.
